Mayor Michael Bloomberg is set to deliver a major address on Tuesday on how the city should prepare for the effects of climate change, following months of preparation from a task force the mayor set up after Hurricane Sandy.
While officially City Hall is waiting for Bloomberg himself to detail the kinds of projects that could keep the city dry in future storms, those involved in the planning have told NY1 that one component will be removable storm barriers.
NY1 has also learned Bloomberg is also expected to call for dunes along the Rockaway Peninsula in Queens and Staten Island's South Shore.
We can start with all the horseshit that emanates out of Bloomberg's mouth at press conferences, public appearances and his radio show.
He says enough horseshit to build a barrier around the city so big and powerful that Sandy wouldn't have stood a chance.
